Resolutions for Frisky Cats

Happy New Year! As we say goodbye to 2018 and usher in 2019, many people are setting personal goals for themselves. If Fluffy could make a list of resolutions, what do you think would be on it? It’s probably safe to say that napping and cuddles would be the main goals for older kitties, but what about younger, more energetic felines? Read on as a local Isle of Palms, SC vet lists some resolutions for playful cats.

Catch That Red Dot

Fluffy has been trying to catch that elusive red spot for years. Maybe 2019 will be the year it finally happens!

Get The Toys Under The Couch

Do you find a small mountain of kitty toys under the sofa every time you move it? Fluffy would be delighted to have her playthings back. Of course, she may immediately push them back under the sofa.

Capture All The Moths

Cats are predators in the wild, and are more or less programmed to attack small creatures. Watching your kitty try to catch moths may be as fun for you as it is for her!

Keep Coffee Tables Clear

Does your feline friend have a habit of knocking things off tables and countertops? Fluffy may do this to try and get your attention.

Explore All The Boxes

Fluffy’s box obsession is one of her most charming quirks. Set out some empty boxes for your kitty to hop into.

Rest Between Workouts

All that running and playing can be pretty exhausting! Fluffy will no doubt spend a good chunk of the coming year resting and recharging.

Help The Humans

Cats may seem aloof, but they are actually very thoughtful. Your feline buddy will lend a helping paw with household tasks, such as changing the sheets and wrapping gifts.

Play With Something That Isn’t A Toy

Fluffy may very well ignore her playthings, and bat a bottlecap across the kitchen floor. There’s no accounting for taste!

Purrfect The Pounce

Cats have to really concentrate to land those tricky jumps. Your furry little buddy may spend a good chunk of the next 12 months working on that pre-pounce butt wiggle, or trying to nail that tricky run/jump/meow/flop combination!
